Who We Are
Einstein introduced the theory of relativity, which indirectly led to moral relativity. People began to think that if they are ok with something then everyone should be ok with it. You do what you want to do, because there is no standard to judge yourself by. After Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, people started to apply it to everything saying that the whole world is uncertain. You cannot know everything. This leads to the question, “Is God in Control?” People can either answer no, which means you don’t need God and he is irrelevant. Or they can answer yes. Two different kinds of people answer yes. One of them are new age thinkers. This is the belief that God is in everything. This goes so far as to say if God is in everything, then He’s in you, so then you are God. The other belief is the positive reformation answer. This answer deals with providence and having God be in control even in the chaos.
Our Beliefs: After beliefs like the uncertainty principle came out, people started applying science to everything, including faith. People started basing their understanding of God on science when really it should be the other way around. We know that you need to start with faith and then look to science because science can’t take the place of God.
